North Greece, Albania And North Macedonia 2026

This tour will take you, the explorer, into the hart of the Balkans.

It starts and ends in Thessaloniki, a wonderful city with a vibrant heart and many layers of history. From there you will travel to an archaeological site in Evzoni -Stobi, prior to staying in Skopje for n overnight stop and visit. Ohrid is another location of interesting where you will visit the Sveti Naum Monastery and the Bay of Bones Museum.

Onwards to Tirana . A great city to explore. Girat and Gjirokaster await. The monastery island of Ioannina, the Monodendri village, Zagori, Vikos Gorge….. a pie making lesson, the Silversmithing Museum and Kalambaka are all Balkan delights.

Meteora and its monasteries are famous but we inject a truffle hunt, the geological museum and a truffle pasta lunch as well as a winery are included in our return to Northern Greece. The tomb of Philip II, the Jewish quarter and of course the Old Metropolis await your return to Thessaloniki.

This tour takes in some spectacular sites and landscapes, and our knowledgeable guides will bring it to life for you.

This tour is for small groups (max 16), accompanied by 2 guides (for groups of more than 6), travelling in comfortable minibuses (1 or 2 depending on group size), which enable us to get into many places that big buses just can’t. They also provide us with opportunities to ‘dash’ down a country lane to explore something new and unique.... An adventure !

Included: All necessary transportation and admissions whilst you are with us. 13 nights hotel accommodation. All breakfasts, 3 lunches (picnics where I think it could enhance the trip) and 4 dinners. Tour guide tipping is discretionary. A tour deposit is required to reserve a place on this tour.
