Please email us at seymourtravels@europe.com to make a reservation

Day 1 Upon arrival in our London hotel we will have a ‘meet and greet’ and a tour briefing in the bar, followed by a dinner together in one of the superb restaurants found all over West London.

Day 2 - This morning, after a hearty breakfast, we’ll utilise our ‘tube’ cards (issued by us) and make our way to Westminster. Here we will meet up with our specialist London guide, who will show us the iconic sights surrounding Parliament Square before taking us for a walking tour along the ‘South Bank’, whilst giving us the history and tales of London and of some its greatest sights, as we walk along the banks of the River Thames. We’ll finish the walk at St Pauls Cathedral where we’ll let you grab a quick lunch in the crypt of the cathedral before meeting up again with our guide, who will then give us a guided tour of the cathedral itself. After the tour (mid afternoon), you’ll be free to explore parts of London and Christmas markets, for yourselves with the support and direction of ourselves.

Day 3 - Completing our breakfast, we head over to the British Museum whereupon we’ll provide you with a guided tour of some of the most important archaeological collections in the world, after which you may like to enjoy lunch in the museum. This afternoon is all yours to enjoy and perhaps you’d like to visit the National Gallery or go to the Cabinet War Rooms. We’ll help you achieve your goals. However, this evening we’ll all meet up again so that we can embark upon a festive Christmas tree and market tour of London, taking in the sights the sounds and therefore the atmosphere of London at this special time of year. Obviously we’ll have the opportunity to indulge in a pint in one of our favourite pubs as we end the evening. You’ll be free for dinner this evening.

Day 4 - How does royalty enjoy Christmas?…… well lets go and find out!! After breakfast we’r going to take a train to Windsor. At Windsor we’re going to gain admission into the royal castle, whereupon you’ll be free to explore the castle and the famous St Georges Chapel. We’d like you to have time to enjoy this great ‘house’ and the charming town of Windsor that surrounds it and will spend all day here, returning at our leisure, early in the evening. You’ll be free for dinner this evening.

Day 5 - Did I mention royalty? This morning we are going for a little walk…. a very famous walk. Once again the tube will take us into the heart of London. We’ll gather in Trafalgar Square and start a walking tour with Lord Nelson looking down upon us from his lofty perch. We’re going to head down to Horseguards Parade Ground and have a little photo opportunity with some very famous soldiers….and their horses!. From here we will walk through royal gardens and past palaces as we head towards ‘Buck House’….. otherwise known as Buckingham Palace.. Later on this evening we’ll go for a splendid dinner together and grab the opportunity to chat and reminisce about our London adventures!

Day 6 - Today we head up into the heart of Northern England… York ! Upon arrival we’ll give you a walking tour of this very grand town. With Roman history and Medieval history in abundance, you’ll love the atmosphere that this beautiful place evokes. We’ll end the walking tour by doing something very festive…. we’re going to find a place in the centre of York and sing carols…. song sheets will be provided.! This is a very very English tradition and I have no doubt that some people will throw a few coins in front of us. This is a tradition that will aid a local charity. We’ll finish the evening by having a warm hearty meal together in one of the local restaurants.

Day 7 - You can have a lie in this morning….. the hotel is comfortable and the breakfast is great. If you wish you could escort your guides to the shops/stores for an hour or two Christmas shopping, as we’re going to buy some children’s toys with the loot (donations) given to us whilst we sang. York Minster also awaits… Medieval grander with a Roman Undercroft.. Their stories await. This evening there will be an opportunity to enjoy Evensong in the Minsters hallowed halls

Day 8 - As a guide we get to take you to places that we would like to see and show off. This morning we’re going to drive to Fountains Abbey. Located at the foot of the Yorkshire Dales. this abbey is a ruin… but is relatively intact! Not destroyed by time or quarrying activities as badly as most others, the abbey gives a beautiful insight into Englands past. We’ll finish today off with a York City ghost tour !… a chance to think a little about Dickens ‘Christmas Carol’.

Day 9 - Today we will provide a tour of York. The Shambles, Castle Museum, Cliffords Tower, The Walls and the National Railway Museum await.

Day 10 - After breakfast we’ll enjoy a short drive out to the regal and very impressive stately home known as Castle Howard. Incredible interiors and beautiful gardens tell tales of aristocratic pomp and ceremony. Lunch will be enjoyed at the house an we’ll enjoy dinner together this evening.

Day 11 - England is known for its castles, so today we’re going to take you to 2 very interesting examples… one is called Duffield.. a ruin. The other is called Wrestle Castle… also a ruin, but with a different story. Yorks Christmas market is a splendid example of a traditional market. with lights, the tree, the Minster as a backdrop, and punch with mince pies, we’ll enjoy an evening exploring.

This evening we will also enjoy a traditional English Christmas dinner together… with Christmas crackers and Yorkshire puddings aplenty, we’re in the right place to enjoy a festive season.

Day 12 - We’ll enjoy breakfast together and the guides will be available to help you with your travel arrangements, give advice and offer hugs. … and sadly the tour will be over.

This tour is for small groups (4-12), accompanied by 2 guides (for groups of more than 6), travelling in comfortable minibuses (1 or 2 depending on group size), which enable us to get into many places that big buses just can’t. They also provide us with opportunities to ‘dash’ down a country lane to explore something new and unique.… An adventure!

Cost of the tour is USD 5950.00 per person.
